BUT! It's nice when there's a but and an exclamation point, like: my car wouldn't start on Saturday evening, BUT(!) it started up on Sunday morning without explanation (this is true). It's not syntactically correct, BUT(!) who cares. Back to this BUT!: although we missed the author signings and stuff--we really wanted a sketch by local badass artist Manny Trembley, who was on a Get Lit! comic panel that Tim moderated--they extended the giving away of comics to Sunday, so we were able to get in on the fun and see a bunch of achy-legged Bloomsday runners hobbling to their cars after post race pig outs in the process.
The guy working there was really nice, telling us all about our choices. We suspect that he comes out just for Free Comic Book Day since we've never seen him there before. Normally they make me us feel a little like we are on the outside of a very exclusive club. In all fairness, we sort of are, or I am at least. But it was nice to feel welcomed for a change.
