Are you thinking that I'm a few days late and that Sharma Shields' much anticipated book launch was on Tuesday? Well, you're right. And I missed it because...baby (I stole this line from my funny friend/musician/mama of the same aged baby as mine, Liz Rognes). But I heard, from trusted sources, the reading was real good and I heard that her book is even better. I can't wait to dig in.
But there's another reading, tonight, Friday, January 30th at Aunties. So, if you're sitting home alone with nothing to do tonight besides binge watch the newly released episodes of The Fall, take a break and head Aunties for the StringTown magazine reading at 7PM. There are a slew of readers who will each read for a little blip. These are the best types of readings for non-literary folks (and my favorite type of reading) because you get a good sampling and don't listen to any one voice long enough for it to sound like background noise (readings can be grueling). I will be there in spirit. Say hi to my spirit. She hasn't showered in a week.
