It's a little late, but none of these things are terribly time sensitive, so here we go:
- Bike...somewhere: It's bike to work week, which I think is a great idea. And I'm reminiscing about my old bike, a simple hybrid my parents bought me for high school graduation. It was main source of transportation in my college years in Seattle and Denver and a good source of recreation here in Spokane. It's got me thinking that I need to buckle down and buy one. I find it so intimidating though. Did you steal a hybrid Trek from a storage unit at the Kempis Apartments a few years ago? You can keep it, but would you send my the model number and size? Just leave a comment below. In the mean time, I'll keep perusing this site.
- Make the perfect loaf of bread. Because, damn it, I tried another recipe and, although delicious, suffered from my bread baker's curse. I quizzed an ex-baker and checked this book out from the library, which is very plain and unsexy and nerdy (not that those things naturally go together), which I've found is the desired trifecta when trying to learn about how to cook. Or do anything right, for that matter. So I'm going to bake the best loaf of bread, then I'm going to share the recipe with you. I've been wanting to blog about local sources of grain for a while, but really want a good bread recipe to go with it!
- Speaking of the library, I want to play around on their new website, more specifically, figure out Digital eMagazine lending and Freegal, their free music downloading app. I gotta say, I think the library is changing with the times and they are hear to stay. I love them so much. My impending joblessness is so much less daunting knowing that the library is exists.
The neighborhood walks have been treating us well these days.
