There's always plenty to do in Spokane in the summer. I try to keep my ear to the ground, which means I wait for plans to roll in through my smart and connected friends. Here are a few options:
- Friday: go see music at the Park Bench at Manito Park from 6-8
- Saturday: Marmot Fest (Rogue Wave is headlining, a band I saw a few times when I lived in Denver. They're fun! And The Hoot Hoots remind me of The Halo Benders) Our neighbor volunteers at KYRS and tells us that it's a family friendly event!
- Sunday: Escape the 100 degree theater (bleck!) and go see The Edge of Tomorrow (the poster claims it's "Smart, Exciting, and Unexpected" and you know what? It's right. I've been on a Tom kick since reading this article).
